My Child is Sick All the Time – Is This Normal?

There are many foods that cause problems for young people. Cow’s milk and gluten (a protein found in wheat) are very problematic for many children. These substances cause many symptoms and make a child feel sick all the time. Cow’s milk is a substance that causes a lot of mucus to be created which causes chronic runny nose or post nasal drip. Gluten can cause skin problems or digestive disorders that can lead to pain. A 3-week trial of avoiding both foods can be helpful in deciding whether or not your child is sensitive to these foods.

Another substance that disrupts the immune system is sugar. Sugar does not allow the immune system to function properly and the child may suffer from a chronic disease. Many chronically ill children walk around drinking a sports drink or sugary juice, both of which are loaded with sugar and make the child sick. Children eat sugary and processed foods daily and fail to recover from their illnesses. The easiest way to stop the disease is to avoid sugar altogether.

The take-home message here is that illness is normal in a child’s development, but not every week or every day. Parents are very defensive about how they raise their children, but if your child seems to be sick all the time, you can rest assured that it’s the parents’ fault. The food they give their children makes them sick.

If you are one of these parents, you should try to avoid sugar, cow’s milk and anything that contains gluten for at least 3 weeks. This will give the child’s immune system a chance to catch up and develop normally. Then reintroduce gluten into the diet and see how the child reacts. Sugar, of course, should not be reintroduced into the diet. Cow’s milk is not necessary in the diet, but if you must, you can add a small amount of fat-free milk. You should focus on green leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and beans. These five types of foods should account for 90% of all calories consumed.

Remember that you are giving your children the basics for the rest of their lives. If you fill their bodies with sugar and other junk foods, you will build weak children. You may not see the effects until they are older but believe me you will. Just as a house built with mediocre materials will crumble before its time, so will a child built with junk food. You don’t want your children to collapse before their time… Do you?
