Healthy Diet to Lose Weight – Don’t Worry, No Mention of Celery, Carrots, Or Tofu

Here is a healthy diet to lose weight. Don’t worry, I won’t tell you nonsense like eating carrots and celery and such nonsense. I’m just going to give you an easy-to-follow diet for the majority of people.

The best part is that it won’t feel like a diet at all.

Healthy diet for weight loss

1. Breakfast starts the day off right

You just got up from sleep, a mini-fast. Your body needs nutrients and calories immediately. Mainly protein. So for this diet you will need to eat eggs. I prefer 3-4 scrambled eggs. It gets you the protein and fills you up.

I’m going to give you a “secret food” that helps this diet a lot…use it as much as possible. It’s black beans. Just one can of black beans has 25 grams of fiber and 25 grams of protein…no sugar. If you can, heat 1/2 can of black beans for 5 minutes and spread them over your eggs.

2. Keep the momentum going with protein and fiber for breakfast

The more calories (healthy calories) you consume earlier in the day, the easier the rest of the day becomes for you. You’ll have fewer cravings and fewer snacks to keep you going until the next meal.

I suggest you eat tilapia or salmon on a bed of lettuce. Other proteins you can use instead… 1 can of tuna, 1 can of black beans, 1 chicken breast, or 1 hamburger patty.

3. Dinner… lean meat and some “superfood” vegetables

Use whatever lean meat you want for dinner, but I highly recommend eating 8 ounces of broccoli or cauliflower…or a combination of both. I get the 1 pound frozen bags with a mix of each for about a dollar.

4. Choose your snacks wisely

Too many people use ready meals for snacks. Bad bad bad. Often you don’t even have any control over this since you have eaten so poorly in the morning and afternoon that you need the quick energy from the sugars they contain.

Either way, try to eat as many apples and low-calorie yogurt for your snacks.

5. What to drink….

Just drink water, protein shakes and teas…nothing else! Empty calories slowly kill you. The average American now gets more than 25% of their calories from liquids. It’s not pretty.

There you have it…a simple, healthy diet to lose weight and not feel like you’re suffering or depriving yourself.
