Now that Ryan lives in Los Angeles, he no longer participates in triathlons. His workouts largely consist of bodyweight exercises: push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, and more. He also enjoys doing intervals and jumping rope. Bodyweight work and intervals seem to be a recurring theme for both men and women in Hollywood. Ryan also competed and won the biathlon in Los Angeles in 2006 and 2007.

Ryan doesn’t believe in using treadmills and exercise bikes for cardio. He prefers the random challenge of running on outdoor trails and running on the beach. This type of variable resistance ensures that his body is always guessing and adds to the fat burning effect.

So, Ryan Kwanten’s training seems to be based on a strict diet at times with interval training and lots of bodyweight work. This “getting fit without going to the gym” seems to be a growing trend among many actors and actresses in Hollywood.
